Maxine Freed is a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary educator and lifelong learner. She has an M.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University and recently completed a Certificate in Creativity Studies at Saybrook Graduate School, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Consciousness and Spirituality. Her dissertation will be a systems inquiry into creativity and transformative learning. In addition to her formal education, Maxine has independently studied and practiced widely in the arts and mind-body disciplines.

 For the past 15 years Maxine has taught at a number of colleges and universities on both coasts. Current course offerings include Creative Minds, Art and Spirituality, Aesthetics, and Eastern Philosophy. In 1995 she founded Freed Energy though which she consults, mentors, and conducts playshops, short courses, and individual sessions to enhance creativity and “flow.”

 Maxine is deeply committed to facilitating holistic, integrated learning within the emergent paradigm.
