We emphasize creativity and deep and original research. Although the brief descriptions below are the basics of courses, the student who understands the program and yet goes beyond into unknown territory, is encouraged to do so.
COURSE 1: Foundations of Co-Creation: Alchemical practices for self-realization
This course is now available on-line. Go to tuition to sign up.
The Foundations of Co-Creation book will be available in the summer of 2007
Foundations of Co-Creation course description:
Part One: CALCINATIONCalcination is a process of fiery heating to the point where all constituents become volatile. The sun is the outer aspect of calcination. Inwardly this stage may manifest as fevers or dreams of being consumed in a fire. It is the shadow aspect of ourselves that is burned out and made into ash. In this process, the instinctual frustrated desires within us must be accessed. Desire and fire go together. In calcination we seek to transform desire into creative will and soul intent by compassionate witnessing.
Chapter OneCalcination in the Modern WorldSummary of Chapter One
After discussing the change and impermanence of the times we live in, the core issue of emotional reactivity is addressed. Calcination as a process of fiery hurt and anger is seen at the heart of many world problems. Enslaved energy or frustrated desire can be transformed through a process of feeling while not identifying with the feeling. The turning of consciousness brings about an ashen state of peace whereby dreams and visions, as part of the calcination process, enable calcination to move toward completion as power or vital force. Through calcination one can begin to learn to behold the purpose of being human.
Chapter TwoSourcing through Personal CalcinationSummary of Chapter Two
After a discussion of the qualities of source, further methods of releasing anger are given. Vital force as a sign of ‘sourcing’ enables not only health but creativity. The essential Self, found in the ashes after the burning, brings forth the vital force, enabling a spiritual fire to replace the fires of emotional reactivity,
Addiction is discussed as the result of by-passing source, and ecstasy is the natural state of purged calcination when emotional reactivity is burned through.
Vehicles of expression for the inspired energy are discussed to allow spirit to flow through. The natural “languages” of color, sound, movement and form emerge as ways of energy flow. An unconditional commitment is suggested as a way to transmute emotional reactivity so that one passes the stage of calcination.
Part Two: DISSOLUTIONDissolution is experienced by immersing the burned out ego in the primal waters of the unconscious. The process of dissolution turns a solid into a liquid. Psychologically, dissolution is returning everything to its primal state of undifferentiation. What was once fixed and rigid becomes malleable and open to change. The desire to be dissolved and absorbed, to sink into the pleroma (the fullness of the cosmic sea and womb) is a process that has no room for the ego, only deep surrender to spirit.
Chapter ThreeThe Waters of the Perennial WisdomSummary of Chapter Three
The process of dissolution is described as a return of everything to its primal state of undifferentiation. Subtle energy is part of this undifferentiated continuum.
The flow of subtle energy is perennial because it is foundational to the universe. Balancing the right and left hemispheres of our brain enables us to tap more deeply into the subtle energy. The One, or Prime Source, uses light-codes and subtle energy to create various step-down transformers called elementals, gods, or spirits. The perennial wisdom emphasizes the interconnection of the One and the many.
Each step of evolution increases the ability of metabolism to absorb light-codes and amplify subtle energy. The self-reflecting consciousness of human beings enables a rising consciousness of evolution and creation. Constant creativity has a purposeful direction. Regenerative dissolution purifies. Ultimately there is a longing for union as a sign of awareness that the One Prime Source is within as well as without.
Part Three: SEPARATIONSeparation is an emergence from the unconsciousness of dissolution, enabling a distinction of parts, within the One. Separation is an inner process of filtering, but also of dismemberment that occurs in many creation myths. Separating yang and yin, light and dark is an operation that takes place in the space of dimensionality. Separation deals with differentiating the directions, finding the many born of the One. Qualities that are oppositessoft and hard, hot and cold, even “before” and “after” in timeare distinctions of the mind, associated with the air element.
Chapter FourThe Separation of Polarity and the Fourfold WayChapter Four Summary
As the One gives forth a yin and yang polarity, you can see how the absolute gives birth to the relative and how time and cycles emerge.
The Gaia Matrix Oracle is introduced and the complementarity of essence and existence is explored. Inner and outer experiences are seen as related to meaning and phenomena within one whole.
The fourfold pattern of source, agent, process and effect is discussed as a completed action to be used in daily life. The nested structure of the Gaia Matrix Oracle is mapped out so that the worlds, archetypes and symbols are delineated on three levels. The worlds reveal how spirit, human, nature and culture interrelate. The archetypes show how these worlds are governed by archetypal qualities, and the symbols give specific meaning to the archetypes.
The quantum shift from the Old Earth to the New Earth is revealed in all three levels of worlds, archetypes and symbols. The laws of the universe are said to be inherent in human consciousness.
Part Four: CONJUNCTIONWhen the whole is separated into opposites they seem to be separate. But when one seeks the whole, there is a realization that they are not separate. Conjunction is self-empowerment through the union of the masculine and feminine aspects within. The union of light and dark, heaven and earth mitigates and rectifies one-sidedness. This process enables one to balance opposite qualities. The sun and rain together produce the rainbow. In conjunction, the fructification of the seed appears. It is the androgynous child, but it also is discerning what needs to be done to bring illumination. Intuitive insight is increased through this conjunction. Synchronicities occur more frequently as the individuation process is experienced. Conjunction enables higher consciousness perspective.
Chapter FiveConjunction and Cycles of WholenessSummary of Chapter Five
The color cycle, plant and water cycles are introduced as simple sixfold cycles representing the conjunction of three sets of opposites. The creativity cycle is developed and applied to subjective and objective aspects of reality. Becoming conscious of the unconscious is shown as a way of peeling back the depths of the self to have more mastery.
The tension of opposites is explored in the psyche and the sources of illness is seen in relation to these tensions. The spiritual dimensions are perceived as potential balancers of psychic tensions. The inner world of archetypes and symbols is explored through the tension of opposites, spirit and psyche relations and the kundalini cycle.
Part Five: FERMENTATIONFermentation is related to multiplication: We take the “gold” spirit-essence produced in conjunction, and use it as a ferment or elixir. The tincture of gold is the ferment of the elixir like curd to milk for cheese. The golden tincture is a small perfect thing that can be used to transform a large imperfect thing. This product of conjunction is exposed to the heated moisture of manure in fermentation. Psychologically this is humility, black moods and mortification. Sometimes the “Dark Night of the Soul” occurs in fermentation.
Chapter SixFermentation in the Modern WorldSummary of Chapter Six
Chaos theory is mapped on the sixfold cycle, showing how our psychological and physical processes have their correlations in universal fractals. The subject-object split that traditional science often instills, is seen as one of root causes of alienation in the modern world. Mind (not brain, its physical vehicle) is explored in the sixfold cycle as a way to apprehend meaning. Academic subjects have correlates to mind.
Synchronicity is explored as the union of the subjective and objective, mind and matter polarities. Imbalance in the modern world are reviewed in the sixfold cycle as fragmented, partial and distorted perception. Healing of global societal views and ailments is seen as bringing about a creative way of living from source.
Traditional mythic themes are viewed on the sixfold cycle in a modern context, and we are seen to be in a global dissolution phase. The collective shadow is seen in context of cycles. The shaman and hero-heroine archetypes are viewed as necessary for passing through the collective shadow into expanding human creativity. Stream of Wisdom Institute reveals its dedication to bringing the culture toward a more holistic paradigm.
Part Six: DISTILLATIONThe tincture of gold, created in conjunction and permeating the subtle body like yeast in fermentation, is now purified in distillation. Distillation is an elevation or sublimation. It is also penetration, making something volatile in a subtle way. The fire of fermentation imparts the pure formation of gold, and distillation removes the soul and spirit, leaving the body stoned or “dead” as often occurs after a sweat lodgeprayer and fasting in an intensely hot, dark place.
Repeated distilling brings about an extremely concentrated and pure solution. Distillation is also heating until a liquid becomes vapor. Metaphorically, it is washing away the inferior parts of ourselves. The lotus is a symbol of distillation, as is rain and rainbows, white doves, owls and winged serpents.
Chapter SevenThe Distillation of Twelve Soul TribesSummary of chapter Seven
A question for each of us is, “Who am I?” Life is a dynamic play, or drama, full of richness. If one supposes twelve soul tribes, then one can begin to outline qualities that are unique to each of the twelve.
The chapter gives a broad outline of twelve distinct soul tribes, including: homeopathic remedies, corresponding colors, keynotes, forms, and a few known myths. The tribe’s associations are not limited to the colors, tones or remedies given, but are suggestions to assist you in knowing them archetypally.
Chapter EightThe Distillation of SymbolsSummary of Chapter Eight
Symbols are discussed for psychic healing. Used in ritual and as transformers, specific symbols are revealed to be used in specific ways to enable the unconscious to become more conscious. Morphotypes are introduced as forms having particular energies and powers. The use of number in relation to morphotypes is discussed for different meanings. Symbols are explored as a way of spiritualizing matter through form. They are distilled patterns of consciousness, bringing one closer to source. Two phases of the sixfold creativity cycles are discussed as challenges for human beings.
Part Seven: COAGULATIONCoagulation fixes what was distilled. When mercury is amalgamated with a large quantity of lead the amalgam solidifies. Analogously, the spirit is amalgamated with the physical body when there is psychic distillation. Psychic energy is mobilized through desire and then fulfillment emerges through arduous work in full incarnation. In coagulation there is the joining of spirit and body through psycho-spiritual work. The physical body is the ferment when permeated by the golden tincture, conceived in conjunction. It is the womb from which the subtle body emerges. Rising and falling waves of distillation transform the ferment into solidified Light through coagulation.
Chapter NineThe Coagulation of the Co-Creation Code DeckSummary of Chapter Nine
Harmonics are introduced as a way of seeing how the One becomes the many that are also One when consciousness realizes its oneness with the One. The personality is explored as aspects of the many as acquired traits.
Four broad simple phases are discussed as aspects of a big cosmic story: 1) the One as the Law of Love, 2) Creation as the Law of Harmony, 3) Quest as the Law of cycles and 4) Union as the Law of Paradox.
The human role, of being part of evolution while having consciousness that transcends being human, enables coagulation.
The Co-Creation Code Deck matrix is introduced in the context of unfolding harmonics as the trinity of create, maintain, and transform, which is then combined with four aspects of elemental qualities; the twelvefold functions are revealed. There is a correlation of “codes” with source of the Gaia Matrix Oracle. “Connections” are seen as agents for the processes of “energy flow.” The effects are known to be “substance,” but the substance is more of an amalgamation of meaning than of matter.
The twelve “morphotypes” are seen in the context of the twelve functions of the Co-Creation Code Deck Matrix as a universal “language” assisting in alchemical coagulation.
Chapter TenThe Coagulation of a Harmonic World ViewSummary of Chapter Ten
Coagulation was discussed in the context of harmonics in the “overtone” order of adding odd numbers. Each harmonic was summarized in relation to numbers, forms, functions, archetypes, manifestations and tribes.
A summary of the Big Story of Oneness, Creation, Quest and Union was given with respect to aspects of the twelvefold matrix of the Co-Creation Code Deck. The tones and morphotypes were given and suggestions on how they might be used. Holistic systems were discussed in relation to entropy and how the twelvefold matrix can be used to reverse entropy toward a more holistic culture in harmony with nature and spirit.
APPENDIXAlchemical Aspects of Stream of Wisdom Institute Courses
Foundations of Co-Creation Course is a pre-requisite to all other Stream of Wisdom courses.
Course 2Universal "languages" of color, sound, movement and form
In the emergent paradigm, people are likely to understand the necessity to communicate through these four natural ‘languages.’ In fact, color, sound, movement and form exist on multiple levels even in the Angelic hierarchy and therefore these ‘languages’ can be used not only between people, but in various spiritual attunements beyond the physical realm. Children can obviously understand these ‘languages’ for they play in and through them and have their own way of moving, mimicing, painting, and creating pattern that is built into their whole body, psyche and spirit.
Color, harmonics, sacred geometry and body movement, as in dance, may have biases in various cultures (for example the Indian 22 srutis vs. the Western twelve-tone scale), but they have a universal basis inherent in the electromagnetic spectrum and the nature of the human body-psychic complex.
The fields of color, sound, movement and form will be dealt with in depth, giving diverse cultural vantages, but focusing on the quality of a color, tone, shape or dance pattern in itself. Sensitivity to the qualities is primary to understanding this field, as is the mental grasp of ratios or modes of measurement.
COURSE 3: Practical Alchemy
The core of this field is an attunement with nature spirits and Devas, and being able to intuit and sense how a situation in a garden or a body, needs balancing. Being receptive to and interacting with nature spirits enhances farming, nutrition and psycho-mental-physical healing. Flower essences, gem and star elixirs are parallels to phenomena in the ‘Sacred Science’ field in the etheric or more subtle level.
Organic farming and permaculture are fields that connect nature spirits with the earth, plants, animals and humans in one harmonious whole. This field is both hands-on and studied, so that the participant understand both principles involved as well as specific applications. Creative research beyond the fields of study given are encouraged.
Vibrational Healing is a huge subject in itself, but we will offer basic patterns of the relation of the human subtle bodies to patterns of homeopathic constitutional remedies, colors, and sound tones. A rudimentary study of harmonics and color will be given in this course.
Research areas might include the relationship of cosmic energies to accupuncture merideans or how charge influences membranes; harmonic relations of energetic input into matter that influences subtle physical form and cellular patterns, or how chakras transform cosmic energy into vital force.
COURSE 4: World Myths, Symbols and Oracles
This field is both cultural and archetypal. Themes of Creation, Polarity, Death and Rebirth, the Hero/Heroine’s Journey, The King of the Four Quarters are part of the collective unconscious of humanity. In this field, students will be encouraged to respond to and discover archetypes that are part of the creative reservoir of the human unconscious for new culture-making. Oracles are direct lines to source, myths tell stories to assist the wide-spread use of truths, and symbols are icons that are doorways to spiritual domains. Literature beyond the old cultures is an extension of this.
The gods and goddesses of the so-called ‘past,’ are forces that act through humans, but are not to possess humans. Our aim is to enable humans to be free agents, which means taking responsibility for who we are in relation to Prime Source, Nature and each other.
The study of different cultures enables the participant to discover major themes and characteristics that are contributing factors to a global culture. It is not uniformity that is wanted in a global culture, although technology, as a means, is an enhancing feature of that. Cultures have values, patterns, song, myths that are gems for a greater wholeness. Therefore, working with people of various races and cultures is beneficial for the whole, if all wish for wholeness.
The study of different cultural themes enables the participant to understand how source and Oneness become the effect of the many, and how, as human agents, we can undergo deaths and rebirths and the Hero/Heroine’s journey to face shadows and emerge with greater love.
Course 5: Sacred Science
A Periodic spiral of chemical elements
The simple "language" learned in earlier courses will enable the student to apply it to natural phenomena observed. Learning the deep analogical and living connections between stars, planets, cultures, galaxies, cells, ecology, plants, animals, humans, atoms, grids and subatomic realm enables a powerful affinity and knowing of Nature.
Although the empirical, logical methods are essential, the analogical method is the core of understanding Nature. This means that a holistic model of the universe works holographically on all levels down to the smallest detail of a cell or atom, for instance. There are parallel processes in stars and cells, plants and minerals. Basically the fundamental pattern is twelve functions. A student learning all twelve, can intuit and discover information and energy flow concerning any phenomena.
